Strata Gem Sort
Privacy Policy
In short. To keep your progress and coins safe across devices, the game gives you an account and saves your game in the cloud. It also collects gameplay statistics and crash reports so we can improve it, and shows ads. We don't sell your information. You can control personalised ads, and ask us to delete your account and cloud data at any time. The game is for players 13 and over.
1. Who we are
Strata Gem Sort (“the game”) is made by Potudo (“we”, “us”), the controller of the personal information described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us, and the choices you have. It applies to the game on Android and iOS.
You can reach us at contact@potudo.com.
2. What we collect
Your game account
When you first play, the game creates an account for you automatically, so your game can be saved in the cloud. You don't give us a name, email address or password. The account holds:
- an account ID that we assign;
- if you sign in with Google Play Games or Apple Game Center, your player ID on that service, so the same account is found on your other devices, and the player name and picture the service shares with the game;
- when the account was created and last used, and which platform you play on.
Your saved game (cloud saves)
So you don't lose your game if you change or reset your device, we store a copy of:
- your progress: the levels you've cleared, your best scores, times and stars, and which tutorials you've seen;
- your coins and boosters (hints, shuffles and undos), and a record of each change to them: what was earned, spent, bought or rewarded, and when;
- records of your purchases and of rewards for ads you chose to watch (see section 7).
Some things stay only on your device: a level you've left part-played, and your sound, music and haptics settings.
Gameplay statistics (analytics)
We collect information about how the game is played, through Google Analytics for Firebase. This includes:
- events such as starting, finishing or leaving a level, the score and time, boosters used, trays filled, combos reached, and ads requested, shown and rewarded;
- when you open the game and how long you play;
- an app instance identifier, your device model and operating system, the game version, your language, and your approximate location (country or region, worked out from your IP address).
Crash reports
If the game crashes or hits an error, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a report: what went wrong in the code, your device model and operating system, the game version, the time, and an installation identifier. Crash reports don't include your saved game.
Device and security information
- App integrity: Firebase App Check confirms that requests come from the genuine game on a genuine device, using Google Play Integrity or Apple App Attest / DeviceCheck. This involves device and app integrity signals.
- Game settings: Firebase Remote Config lets us adjust things like prices and rewards without an update. It uses an app instance identifier.
Achievements and leaderboards
If you're signed in to Google Play Games or Game Center, the achievements you unlock and the scores you post are sent to that service. Other players may see them there, depending on your settings with Google or Apple.
Advertising information
Our advertising partner, Google AdMob, collects information to show and measure ads. See section 5.

We don't use your information to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Service providers
These companies process information for us, under their own privacy policies and our agreements with them:
- Google (Firebase): Authentication (your account), Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions (cloud saves, purchase and reward checks), Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config and App Check. Firebase privacy information.
- Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform: ads and consent. How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- Google Play (Play Games Services and Play Billing) and Apple (Game Center and the App Store): sign-in, achievements, leaderboards and purchases. Google Privacy Policy · Apple Privacy Policy.
5. Advertising and your choices
The game is free and is supported by ads served by Google AdMob, including optional ads you can watch for rewards. Google may collect information from your device to show and measure ads: your device's advertising ID (Android advertising ID, or Apple's IDFA where you allow it), IP address, device type and settings, and how you interact with ads. When you finish a rewarded ad, Google confirms it to us with your account ID so we can give you the reward.
Consent
Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and some US states, the game shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested. If you don't consent to personalised ads, any ads you see are non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings → Privacy choices, when that option applies where you live.
Tracking on iOS
On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether the game may use the IDFA to personalise ads. You can say no, and change it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Saying no doesn't affect the game.
Other controls
On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID under device Settings → Privacy → Ads (the wording varies by device).
6. Children
The game is intended for players 13 and over, and isn't directed at children under 13. Where the law sets a higher age for consenting to the use of personal information (up to 16 in some countries), younger players need a parent's or guardian's permission to play.
We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it and the account it belongs to. If you're a parent or guardian and think your child has used the game, email contact@potudo.com and we'll help.
7. Purchases
Coin packs are bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. They process your payment; we never see your card or payment details. We receive the purchase details (the item, a purchase token or transaction ID, and its status) and check them with Google or Apple before adding your coins, so purchases can't be faked. If a purchase is refunded or cancelled, Google or Apple tells us, and the coins may be removed.
8. Sharing and selling
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with the service providers in section 4, for the purposes described;
- if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our players, ourselves or others;
- with a buyer or successor if the game or our business is sold or reorganised, under this policy's protections.
Where a law treats ad personalisation as “selling” or “sharing” personal information, you can opt out through the consent and tracking choices in section 5.
9. How long we keep it
- Account and cloud save: while your account is in use. If an account isn't used for 3 years, we may delete it.
- Purchase records: as long as the law requires for accounting and tax, usually up to 7 years, even after an account is deleted.
- Gameplay statistics: up to 14 months.
- Crash reports: up to 90 days.
- Information only on your device: until you uninstall the game or clear its data.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and US state laws such as the CCPA, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- object to or restrict how it's used, and withdraw consent at any time;
- opt out of personalised advertising, and of “sale” or “sharing” where those laws define them;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these, email contact@potudo.com. Because your account doesn't have a name or email, we may ask for your account ID (shown in the game's settings) or other details to confirm the account is yours. We'll answer within 30 days, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights.
11. Deleting your account
You can delete your account and your cloud save at any time, from Settings in the game. If you can't open the game, use our account deletion form from any device, or email contact@potudo.com with your account ID. We delete your account, progress, coins and boosters within 30 days. Purchase records we must keep by law are kept, separated from your game. Deleting your account can't be undone: coins and boosters are lost, including purchased ones.
Uninstalling the game alone doesn't delete your cloud save, so you can pick up where you left off if you reinstall.
12. Security and transfers
Your information is stored on Google Cloud, protected by encryption in transit, access controls, and Firebase App Check. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires, these transfers are protected by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game changes. We'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the game before they take effect.
